Volk Imports strives to lead the conversation around Eastern European spirits and educate consumers and venues on the versatility of brandies and liqueurs coming out of the region. Rakija (aka Raki, Slivovitz, Plum Brandy, Fruit Brandy) is spread across different fruits, herbs and vast mountainous and coastal regions.
Recent Success
The Branko brandy range has seen some really good local wins! The brand has been included on the list of the world’s best bar, Maybe Sammy for three years in a row. The world’s mot influential bar (according to TOP 500 BARS) debuted Branko Premium Plum Brandy on their Stardust menu in 2022, then last year the Branko Premium Quince was included on the Mirage menu, only for the Branko Premium Plum to make a comeback in 2024 on The Grand Maybe Sammy Hotel menu.

Aura Family Distillery
Crafted in a rustic cellar on the Istrian peninsular, Aura Distillery produces delicious brandies, liqueurs, gins, and jams.
Aura belive that the best results come from being “in harmony with nature”. All their main ingredients found in their surrounding natural landscape. Everything from wild herbs and fruits, spices, and various ingredients are all harvested in ecologically clean areas far from roads and populated areas, on the slopes of Ćićarija, in various parts of Istria.
Potpis (Signature)
Translating to “Signature” Potpis Brandy is crafted at the family estate on the slopes of Avala in Serbia. Potpis looks to capture the hearts of hedonists all over the world with their range of delicious brandies.
Offering a wide range on brandies the two standout products are the Pear XO & their quince brandy, which was voted “Best Quince Brandy” at the Open Balkan event in 2023.

Pronunciation: BRUHN-KOH
A slavic male name, It derives from the root "defend" in the old sense of "fight."
Crafted in the historic neighbourhood of Dorćol (Dor-chol), the Branko brand strives to challenge traditions and introduce plum brandy as a new category sitting in between premium bourbon and cognac.
Bikicki Winery
The Bikicki (Be-keetz-kee) vineyards are located in the village of Banoštor on the slopes of Mt. Fruška Gora, next to the Danube River.
The wine cradle of Serbia, at the 45th degree of north latitude, sharing sun exposure with Bordeaux, Piedmont, the Rhone Valley and the Willamette Valley in Oregon.
Legende Rakija
The Spirit of the Balkans
Legende is produced in small batches by hand from grapes harvested in the valleys of Herzegovina. Instead of using pomace, pits and seeds like many white grape spirits, they use finished wine. The rakija is hand distilled twice before being bottled at 90 proof without further additions or additives of any kind.
Emperus Distillery
Emperus distillery, is the producer of the best Serbian plum brandy and the best Serbian quince brandy in 2023. This team has a clear mission; present Serbian brandy globally - alongside the world's most famous premium alcoholic beverages.
Emperus is also home to the most expensive rakija in the world. The first bottle of the Emperus 30 YO sold at auction for over 15,000 euros.
